The London Manx Society was unable to hold its annual general meeting due to England’s Covid-19 restrictions.
It hopes instead to be able to meet in mid-April next year.
Nonetheless, members have remained active.
The society’s Margaret Brady memorial trophy was presented to Isaac Kreisky, aged nine, from The Buchan School - who has shown musical potential and was selected to attend a residential course in the UK to be coached by leading vocal training professionals and perform at some of the country’s top concert venues.
The autumn newsletter was still published, which updated members on island developments such as the Manx experience of coronavirus, the launching of Manx National Heritage’s ’Museum on the move’ and the July Yn Chruinnaght festival.
Restrictions permitting, a ’Christmas chat’ is scheduled for 4pm on Tuesday, December 8, at Doubletree by Hilton, Southampton Row WC1B 4BH.
