Peter James Heselwood, aged 51, of Cross Street, Ramsbottom, Bury, has appeared in court in Douglas charged with fraud by false representation and theft.

The offences are alleged to have been committed between June 24 and 27 last year.

He was represented in court by duty advocate David Reynolds who asked for an adjournment until April 13, saying that time was needed to review the case papers.

Legal aid was granted subject to proof of income.

Bail was granted in the sum of £500.
