Clive Hathaway Travis, aged 61, of Waverley Mall, Edinburgh, will face a trial in summary court on July 3.

He has previously denied sending an offensive message to the Isle of Man tax office.

He was represented in court by duty advocate David Clegg but will be representing himself going forward.

Prosecuting advocate Barry Swain said that Mr Travis had initially been offered a caution by police but was not willing to accept it.

Bail continues in the sum of £500 with a condition to live at his home address.
