The Manannan will operate to a revised timetable today following its collision with the quay at Douglas harbour last night.
But services should return to normal tomorrow (Saturday).
Manannan suffered structural damage after it hit the quay when it tried to berth in Douglas Harbour at 8pm last night.
The collision was described as a “jolt” rather than a heavy landing and no one was injured.
The Steam Packet said its workshop staff have been working on repairing the damage last night and expects repairs to be completed by early this evening.
Following the necessary approval by Ship Registry surveyors, Manannan will then operate to a revised schedule today.
The 3pm Douglas to Liverpool sailing will now depart at 8pm and passengers are asked to check in no later than 7pm.
The return Liverpool to Douglas 7.15pm sailing will now depart at 12.30am on Saturday and passengers are asked to check in no later than 11pm.
Ben-my-Chree sailings are operating as scheduled and it is anticipated that Manannan schedules will return to normal tomorrow.
In addition, freighter Clipper Ranger will be brought in to operate an extra sailing tonight, which will create space for passenger vehicles on the Ben-my-Chree’s service which departs Heysham at 2.15am tomorrow.
The Steam Packet said it apologises for any inconvenience caused by this rescheduling.
