The Manx health service's staff shortage is so acute that bosses are asking qualified nurses to get in touch.

Manx Care has appealed to registered nurses who are available today (Monday) to ring the switchboard as soon as possible to confirm their availability (01624 650000).

'We’re struggling with staffing levels due to high levels of sickness - your help would be very much appreciated,' Manx Care says.
