This evening's Manx Grand Prix and Classic TT qualifying sessions have been cancelled with heavy showers forecast.
It is the latest qualifying session to have been disrupted this week. Sunday’s was curtailed by a combination of the weather and an incident involving Italian rider Salvatore Sallustro at Greeba Bridge.
Monday evening’s session was cancelled because of the weather, while Tuesday’s was abandoned after roughly 20 minutes following the red-flag incident at Cruickshanks in which Swiss rider Mauro Poncini lost his life.
As a result, a contingency session was held on Wednesday afternoon.
Further contingency sessions are expected to be used on Thursday afternoon and Friday evening ahead of the weekend’s first races, but a revised scheduled has yet to be confirmed by organisers.
