Tuesday evening’s Manx Grand Prix qualifying has been red flagged around 20 minutes into the session.
The session has immediately stopped after the incident at Cruickshanks in Ramsey.
Organisers have added in an update that race control were ‘currently managing the situation’ and that a further update would be issued in due course.
This evening’s action began at 6.30pm with qualifying for competitors in the Senior and Supersport Manx Grand Prix races.
Earlier in the day, MGP and Classic TT organisers had confirmed that this evening’s session would go ahead with showers forecast for later.
It was also announced that Wednesday’s afternoon’s contingency session would also be utilised for qualifying after the loss of Monday evening’s session because of the weather conditions.
Sunday’s opening session of the festival was also curtailed because of a combination of the conditions and an incident involving Italian rider Salvatore Sallutro, which resulted in him being air-lifted to hospital after coming off his machine at Greeba Bridge.
The Classic TT machines were due to get out for the first time this evening at 7.50pm.
Prior to that Manx Grand Prix qualifying for those in the Junior and Sportbike classes was due to start at 7.15pm.
