Henderson & Glass has added another milestone to its growing reputation after being named among the winners of the Manx Menu 2026 campaign.
The Manx Menu is an annual initiative which celebrates local hospitality venues by encouraging them to create dishes which champions ingredients sourced from Manx farmers, producers and suppliers.
The Douglas venue, known for its cocktails and flavour-led dining, is based at 11 Castle Street - one of the oldest buildings on the capital’s main shopping street - where contemporary hospitality meets a rich and varied history.
The building which Henderson & Glass calls home dates back to the late 19th century and has served a variety of purposes over the years, including a shoe shop, electrical store and sports outfitter.
It is also believed to have once housed a stable, a church and even a viewing platform for the neighbouring rock factory.
Today the historic setting provides the backdrop for Henderson & Glass’s modern and vibrant dining experience.
Henderson & Glass co-owner Brendan Beeken said: ‘It speaks for the team really, not only just Paige (general manager) but in the kitchen as well. It’s good for them to get that acknowledgement.’

Henderson & Glass’s Manx Menu March offering centres on a South African-inspired sharing menu showcased through its Bottomless Lunch experience.
According to the team, the concept focuses on bold, flavour-driven dishes and freshly prepared flatbreads made using high-quality ingredients sourced from local Manx suppliers.
On Saturdays the venue hosts a popular bottomless brunch and lunch experience which has recently expanded due to high demand. The new format includes two sittings, the first from 11am to 1pm and the second from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
A bottomless lunch is also being introduced on Sunday afternoons and evenings.
Building on strong performance in late February and March, the business is now offering three separate bottomless dining sessions each weekend - two on Saturdays and one on Sundays.
Working with suppliers including Harrison & Garrett, Agrimark, Robinsons, Wine Down and The Wine Cellar, the business says it focuses on consistency, freshness and traceability.
The menu combines Manx produce with distinctive South African influences, featuring dishes such as Frikkadella in Tomato Bredie, Mini Bunny Chow Sliders, Boerewors skewers with chakalaka and Mossel Bay-style surf and turf.
The Bottomless Lunch experience brings these elements together in a lively social setting where guests share dishes alongside unlimited drinks and live music.
According to Henderson and Glass, the business’ sustainability is supported through careful menu planning and data-led systems to manage stock and reduce waste, while inclusive menu options ensure there is something for all dietary preferences.
Overall, the offering highlights Henderson & Glass’s commitment to quality local sourcing, bold global flavours, sustainable practices and community-focused dining experiences.
Henderson & Glass is open from noon to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, from 2pm to 7pm on Sundays, closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, and open from noon until late evening on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
