A group of nine Manx rifle shooters travelled to Aberdeen for the Scottish 50m championships at Denwood Target Shooting Centre recently.

Rachel Glover and Tracey Skelton came away with minimum consideration scores which enhanced their chances for being picked for next year’s Commonwealth Games at Gold Coast, Australia.

Gemma Kermode was seventh in the women’s 3P final while Skelton was fifth in the women’s prone championship, which was won by Scotland’s Jen McIntosh with England’s Lina Jones second and Sian Corish of Wales third. All gained great experience in a top field which featured a number of Olympic shooters.
