Those who have caught his live set over the last year or so will know how busy this local musician keeps himself on the Manx live scene.
Ian, with his full band, pulls out a set full of classics from the likes of The Kinks, David Bowie, The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, R.E.M, and the like, mixed with a selection of original cuts from his debut release last year via U.S. label, The Spectra Music Group.

A new venue is starting to welcome bands in the west of the island, and this week folk punk and rock boys the Ballaghs take a turn in appearing at the Whitehouse, in Peel.
The foot-stomping action kicks off from 9pm.

Now, calling all fans of Radiohead!
Following their hugely successful debut gig at the Mitre in Ramsey a few weeks ago, OK Computer, the new Manx Radiohead tribute have announced their next show.
Taking place next month on Saturday, May 18, they head to the Palace Hotel in Douglas.
The band features a mixture of members of Pigs On The Wing, In The Blood, Final Cut, 3 Million and Ed Force One amongst others, and is headed up by Dave Brew on vocals, James Craig on bass and Ian Astill, Chris Honour and Jamie Christian sharing the guitar duties, plus myself on drums.
The band delves deep into the Radiohead back catalogue, so you can expect to hear the likes of Paranoid Android, Karma Police, No Surprises and of course Creep amongst many others as the band ploughs through a good two and a half hours of material.

Heading to Ramsey on Monday for something a little more traditional, music wise.
As part of the Shennaghys Jiu festival, previewed elsewhere this week, in Island Life, some of the island’s sing songwriters will be showing off what’s best in Manx music at the festival band night, at the Mitre Hotel, Ramsey, on Monday, April 8.
Matt Kelly, Adam Melvin, Rhiannon Jade, The Mollag Band, and Jeff Jepson will join Scottish group the Canny Band and the part Manx and Breton trio Imbolc to bring the curtain down on the folk festival.
