Ambient rock, hardcore and Stoner metal boys, Sanssouci (pronounced Sans-Soo-See) is a relatively new band in the grand scheme of things. Having formed in 2017, the band started out as a three piece made up of either previous or current members of Fugue State, Our Final Hour, Honourable and Ignite The Sky, namely Kriss Maguire on vocals and guitars, Adam Elston-Lane on bass, and Edward Knight on drums.

The band played a handful of shows towards the end of last year, garnering some favourable responses in the process. With the recent addition of former This Years Winner Is guitarist, Dario Leonetti, the band has just put together its first single and video for the track 10-4.20

Influence wise think somewhere between CKY, Weezer and Black Sabbath and you’re in the right ball park. The band is currently looking to book some further live dates so watch this space for further details.

If you’re a fan of all things music wise that slants towards the rockabilly end of the spectrum, you may want to head to The Creek in Peel on Saturday.

Mad Daddy head over to showcase a variety of raw and obscure covers of rock ’*’ roll hits from the 50s rockabilly era plus their own original tracks.

The band line-up features Dolyn Clucas-Morris of Mr. Eliminator and The Deadly Vipers fame on guitar and vocals with Simon Morris on drums, Fergus Hook on harmonica and James ’Elvis’ Palooka on bass and the band hit the stage just after 9pm.

To end this week, Symbollix head to one of their regular gigs at Jaks in Douglas on Friday night.

The band features John Ruscoe, George Hughes, John Ryan, Martin McEvely and Stewart Steptoe in their line-up and they root themselves in mostly 70’s classic rock, pulling out a setlist that combines the likes of ZZ Top, The Who, Wings, Bad Company, Whitesnake, Cream and the Rolling Stones.

That’s all for this week!
