Manx show team Ynchreenoo Show Dogs have enjoyed success at Crufts 2022.
The Pharaoh Hounds were competing at the world-famous dog show, held at The NEC in Birmingham. Ynchreenoo’s biggest success was with Pharaoh Hound Perle.
The four-year-old was first in a very large Open Bitch class and won the Bitch CC and Best and Breed under top hound specialist judge Mike Caple against international competition.
Perle was then awarded Group 3 in the Hound Group under judge Gavin Robertson out of 2,431 other hound entries.
Ynchreenoo proprietor Laura Merryweather, who handled Perle, said : ‘Crufts 2022 was certainly one to remember for us and it is a dream come true to win Best of Breed, and then to be awarded Group 3 with some truly stunning exhibits from all over the world. I believe this is the first time a Manx show exhibitor has been awarded a group placing in the hound group at Crufts which makes us feel very proud!’
Laura and Perle appeared on the live Channel 4 coverage of Crufts on Friday night which reached more than 5m viewers.
