The ManxSPCA is to hold its annual fun dog show on Sunday at its Ard Jerkyll rehoming centre in Foxdale.

The event will take place in the Playbarn facility on site and classes include Prettiest Eyes, Best Puppy, Waggiest Tail, Dashing Male, Lovely Lady, Best Look-alike and Golden Oldie.

Registration for the event is at 12.30pm and entries cost £1 per class per dog.

The judging will begin at 1.20pm through to 4pm and registration must take place before the judging begins.

There will be a rosette for each dog who is awarded first, second and thirdrd in each category, plus prizes supplied by James Wellbeloved naturally healthy pet foods.

This year’s event has been sponsored by Utmost Wealth Solutions and a member of its community committee will be assisting with the judging on the day.

Shaun Lewis, head of Utmost Community, said: ’We were delighted when the ManxSPCA approached us regarding the dog show as many our staff are keen dog lovers and are supporters of the charity.

’Many of them took part in their TT dog walk last year which helped to raise funds for the kennels. We think this will be a great family day out and we look forward to being there on the day.’
