Manx dance group Perree Bane celebrated Manx May Day (Laa Boaldyn) with dancing at Cregneash.
The event took place at the Manx National Heritage venue on Monday afternoon.
It also saw people take a number of steps to protect themselves from evil spirits.
Crosh cuirns, small crosses made from twigs and wool, were made and yellow petals were scattered.
Meanwhile, a family fun day was held in Castletown to celebrate May Day.
Families enjoyed dancing round the maypole, live music from the likes of Biskee Brisht (Broken Biscuit) and children’s rides in Market Square.
