The future of the Isle of Man Literary Society will be decided next week.
An extraordinary general meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 13.
Several of its officers have resigned recently due to personal commitments.
The gathering, in the meeting room at The Archibald Knox, Avondale Road, Onchan, will open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
The society, inspiration of the late Dr Olive Lamming, has for many years welcomed writers, publishers, teachers and readers to share thoughts and feelings related to literature. The meeting will be open to all with an interest in this topic to share their ideas about whether the society has a future, and, if so, what new directions it could explore.
People with views but who cannot make the meeting are being urged to contact Jeff Garland (664796, [email protected]) who will pass them on.
