A public meeting to discuss the future of Port St Mary Bowling Club will be held this week.

The meeting was called by Port St Mary Commissioners whose chairman Michelle Haywood said: ’This is about the bowling club’s future. It is 99 years old.

’We want to know what the community wants to do.’

Last summer, it was announced the lease would not be renewed. Land owner, Will Kelly, said he wants to convert the land to agricultural use.

The club has more than 80 members.

The meeting takes place tomorrow (Wednesday) in the town hall at 7.30pm.
