The Department of Infrastructure has instigated meetings with politicians from around the island’s regions so that topics such as housing needs studies or new housing initiatives can be discussed openly before they are prepared.
The first meeting was held in the south in July.
A similar meeting has now been arranged for the north and tomorrow (Wednesday) Julie Edge MHK, the politician at the DoI responsible for housing and her colleagues will meet commissioners from Ramsey and the northern parishes.
t will take place in Ramsey town hall.
If successful, it could lead to regularly, quarterly meetings.
Ramsey’s lead member for housing, Michelle Quayle said she was looking forward to it.
’I think it will be a very interesting meeting,’ she said.
