A cold day today with temperatures near freezing on higher ground this morning and the risk of icy patches on upland roads. Some sunny intervals today with a few showers, turning wintry over high ground. Temperatures only about 5 or 6 Celsius at best, and feeling even colder in the strong to near-gale force westerly winds.
Another cold day on Thursday with a strong to gale force northwest wind and a few wintry showers. Temperatures only 6 Celsius.
Friday will be largely dry and bright with some sunshine, but turning cloudy during the evening ahead of rain arriving overnight. The fresh northwest winds will moderate during the day and become a south-westerly later.
