The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain and gales.

The weather forecast:

Rain for much of today, heavy at first then easing during the day and largely dying out by late afternoon with just some showery outbreaks persisting overnight. Winds light at first will become a strong southerly this afternoon turning to the northwest tonight, temperatures up to 15 Celsius.

The wind at first tomorrow will still be locally fresh from the northwest, falling to a lighter southwesterly during the day, a dry day with some sunshine and temperatures around 12 or 13.

A fine day on Monday with light winds, temperatures up to 14
