The Probus club of Douglas heard from the Minister for Health, David Ashford, as at its August lunch.

His talk was called ’The Way Forward’ and he explained the transition we are currently going through learning to live with the Coviod virus.
He then went on to answer a wide range of questions linked to this subject.
The questions asked included topics including Manx Care and its organisation and accountability; Malta’s reciprocal health agreement; Using passports for vaccination details; the situation regarding the QR code on the NHS app being implemented for Manx residents; grades of face coverings used at hospital reception; the situation regarding booster vaccination; the minister’s view on the use of vitamin D to improve individual’s immune systems.
