A small inflatable dinghy that broke free of a yacht in Laxey harbour has turned up in the Mersey.

New Brighton RNLI’s lifeboat crew recovered the craft, which was reported missing on July 28, adrift to the north of Crosby, Merseyside, at around 8.50am on Thursday.

The crew found the dinghy with a fishing rod and one oar onboard.

The lifeboat volunteers took the boat to New Brighton beach where it was passed to the lifesaving charity’s shore crew.
