Flights cancelled and ferry sailings disrupted as gale-force winds hit islandManannan is due to leave Douglas at 9am bound for Heysham, with the return sailing scheduled for 2.15pm.
However, the Steam Packet has said that due to the weather forecast, the sailings may be subject to disruption or cancellation.
The Met Office forecast, as of 5.45pm on Sunday, for Monday is: ’Into tomorrow the rain should become patchy, allowing some drier intervals.
’It will stay cloudy, with the winds easing a little to become fresh to strong westerlies.’
However those winds are described as gusts of up to 45mph, decreasing later on to 25mph.A decision on the sailings is due by 7.30am on Monday.
