The fourth Santas on a Bike charity fundraiser was held on Saturday, with more than 250 bikers taking part.
Hundreds of motorbikes gathered for the mass ride-out and festive celebration all in aid of Rebecca House Children’s Hospice in Braddan.
Following the same route as the 2020 event, riders were invited to don their Christmas costumes and jump on their bikes to raise money for the children’s charity.
The festive ride out, organised by telecommunications and platform provider plan.com, began at the Sea Terminal, before heading through Douglas via the NSC, then down to Castletown before returning to cross the finish line at the Hospice building at the Strand.
Nicola Patterson, director of people at plan.com said: ’We couldn’t have been happier with the turnout for this year’s Santas on a Bike event.
’More than 250 bikes took part, and the spirit of Christmas was alive and truly magical - we didn’t even notice the rain.
’Arriving back to the Hospice was a feeling like no other, and we thank every single person that took part or donated from the very bottom of our hearts.
’We have already raised lots of money for Rebecca House and the donations continue to pour in.
’We would like to say a huge thank you to the police, our sponsors Village Workshop, A&M Architecture and Ocorian, our wonderful plan.com elves and the team at Hospice for the incredible support - we’re looking forward to next year already.’
