A motorist was trapped in their vehicle following a crash at Windy Corner on the Mountain Road.

The emergency call-out came at just before 11.30am this morning (Saturday).

A single vehicle was involved in the collision.

Fire crews used hydraulic equipment to remove the doors of the vehicle and allow the casualty to be transferred to a waiting ambulance.

Firefighters were at the scene for about 35 minutes.
