The Mountain Road is shut this morning after last night’s snowfall.

There are other problems around the island.

For example, police say that Richmond Hill is not passable.

The Mountain Road from Lheaney Road to Signpost Corner will remain closed this morning.

There are also vehicles that will require recovering when safe to do so before the road can be re-opened.

The road condition will be assessed later this morning bearing in mind the continuation of the weather warning.

Police advise extra care while driving and warn that journeys might take longer than normal.

The Poortown Road is still being diverted at Ballig due to power lines down.
