Port Erin’s main bus stop is moving.
The government’s nationalised bus service has made the decision following the completion of the village’s regeneration works in Station Road.
Thhe main stop will move from Bridson Street to Station Road.
The change takes place from Monday beginning with the service 2 that leaves at 10.04am.
All buses leaving and arriving in Port Erin will go to/from the new Port Erin Station stop and not from Bridson Street.
The route will then continue along Station Road and onto Bay View Road.
Bus Vannin will also add an additional bus stop along Bay View Road, on the corner of Nelson Street.
Ian Longworth, director of transport services, said: ’We believe these small changes will make the customer’s journey that little bit smoother. With up to six buses per hour serving Port Erin our passengers will benefit from being just a stone’s throw from all that Port Erin has to offer.’
With the relocation to the new bus stop, buses on all services will leave Port Erin one minute earlier than the times shown in published timetables.
