Next week sees the opening of a new community stage area in the south of the island.

An elevated stage area has been created about the doorway of Castletown Civic Centre and will be officially unveiled on Thursday, July 23 at 6pm.

The community stage was created by Simcocks Advocates as part of the firm’s celebrations of its 70th anniversary.

The roof stage is partitioned off by a glass screen and over looks Barracks Square and the Secret Pizza Company in Castletown.

The stage will be opened by a performance by the local band ’Brown Sugar’.
