Two young and talented musicians will be the latest guests of a music appreciation society in the north of the island.

Cellist Jamil Aliyev and pianist Jâms Coleman will appear together in concert for the Ramsey Music Society, on Monday, November 25, from 7.30pm.

The two award-winning, classical musicians will appear at the West Building of the Ramsey Grammar School to perform a series of pieces of music from Rachmaninov, Beethoven,David Popper,Brahms and Tchaikovsky.

Jamil was born in Azerbijan and after receiving his tuition in Turkey, has become one of the most sought after cellists of his generation.

He won the Sir Karl Jenkins Music Award in 2017 after performing his solo debut with the BBC Concert Orchestra.

Anglesey-born pianist Jâms is a multi-talented soloist, chamber musician and vocal accompanist, and has appeared performing for BBC Radio 3, along with appearanceson S4C and BBC Cymru.

Tickets for the concert, which is supported by the Isle of Man Arts Council, are £12, with children and students free.
