It’s time to dress to impress and indulge in some lavish luxury.
That’s the message from the organisers of a majestic and mysterious masquerade ball later this month.
Time is running out, however, if you want to attend the Manx Blind Welfare Society’s big night as only a limited number of tickets are remaining.
Woodbourne House in Douglas will be for an evening of glamour, intrigue and dancing on June 23.
Sponsored by Specsavers Opticians, guests at the black-tie event can enjoy a sumptuous three-course dinner, entertainment and then waltz and boogie the night away before revealing their identity behind the mask.
MBWS volunteers co-ordinator and events organiser Debbie Thomson said: ’We are so excited and looking forward to what should be a glamorous occasion. There’s been a great response since we put tickets on sale and we really are down to the last 30 or so now.
’It would be wonderful to see Woodbourne House full for what I’m sure will be a glamorous occasion.’
The MBWS will also host a raffle and auction to raise much-needed funds for the charity.
’We are very grateful to Specsavers for its generosity and support, as well as all those who have provided raffle prizes,’ Debbie added.
The MBWS provides support and services to almost 600 blind and visually impaired people in the island and is run by a small team of staff and more than 200 dedicated volunteers, relying entirely upon fundraising, donations and legacies.
Tickets (tables of 10 can also be purchased) for the masquerade ball, which includes arrival drinks from 6.45pm, are available.
