The weather forecast from the Met Office:

Continuing wet and windy at first today, with the gale to severe gale force southerly winds giving gusts of 60 mph, and possibly 70 mph in more exposed places.

Heavy rain this morning will result in difficult driving conditions and some localised flooding, as well as significant coastal overtopping occurring in susceptible locations around high tide (~11:20am). Winds then easing to a westerly gale as the rain clears to isolated showers for the afternoon.

Sunny spells and isolated wintry showers through Monday and Tuesday, and feeling very cold with the westerly winds still gale force at times.
