Shopping trolleys decorated by nursery children have been introduced to Shoprite stores to encourage people to donate food items for charity.

Victoria House Nursery in Douglas had the works of art introduced to stores across the island as part of the business’s annual Christmas Hamper Appeal in aid of members of the older generation who are in need.

The nursery is now in its 12th year of decorating trolleys.

These festive trolleys can be seen in Shoprite stores on Victoria Road in Douglas, Onchan, Bridson Street in Port Erin, Bowring Road in Ramsey, Castletown and Derby Road in Peel.

Customers can donate food items into the trolleys to the Manx Live at Home Scheme and Southern Befrienders who make them up into hampers to distribute to their members island-wide. The campaign runs until December 8.
