Ramsey’s swing bridge will be closed to vehicles for just over 24 hours from Wednesday morning.

Motor vehicles will be diverted from crossing the bridge from 6am tomorrow Wednesday July 22 until 8am on Thursday.

The Department of Infrastructure said: ’Our team will be planing out and relaying the road around the front of Ramsey Swimming Pool/north end of the swing bridge causeway making the road impassable to motor vehicles from the Swing Bridge.

’Pedestrian access via the Swing Bridge will be maintained throughout. Vehicular access for the Mooragh Promenade and swimming pool will be via North Shore Road or the Vollan.’
