A Manx-born poet and writer is to unveil a book of his first collection of poetry next week.

Simon Maddrell will release ’Throatbone’ on Wednesday, September 23 with an online reading of featured poems, an interview hosted by Catriona Mackay and a look at the Manx perspectives highlighted in the book’s poems with James Franklin.

Throatbone, named after the jawbone of the bollan wrasse, worn by Manx fishermen to bring luck, has been backed by Culture Vannin.
