Minorca Hill in Laxey will have parking restrictions placed on it to allow work to be carried out.

The Department of Infrastructure will close the road to parking from Minorca Crossings and Glen Road.

A DoI spokesman said: ’This is to allow the department full access to the roadside gullies and drainage system to facilitate essential drainage works required after the recent flooding in the village.

’The area subject to parking restrictions will be marked by police cones. On site signage is in place and letters to residents in the area will be distributed today.’

The restriction will be in place from 9am to 3pm tomorrow and Wednesday.
