Fire crews were called to free a casualty trapped in a car following a crash.

A driver and their passenger received minor injuries when a car collided with a traffic light at just before 11pm last night (Thursday)at the Pulrose Bridge Road junction on Peel Road, Douglas.

A lighting rig was set up as fire crews stabilised the vehicle and then used cutting gear to remove the passenger side door.They could then free the trapped casualty who was transferred to a waiting ambulance for check-ups.
