Steam Packet passengers will have to find their own way between the terminal at Heysham and Lancaster railway station on Saturday.
It’s due to a rail strike that means the normal link between the port and Lancaster will not operate.
A statement from the Steam Packet reads: ’The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company has been informed by Northern Rail that a replacement bus service will not be offered between Heysham and Lancaster in either direction on Saturday, April 8, when train services will be disrupted by industrial action.
’We are informing passengers on our Heysham sailings of the disruption via our social media channels and advising those who intended to use the rail service on Saturday to make alternative arrangements.
’Northern Rail has also advised that passengers who have booked combined ferry and rail tickets for Saturday should make alternative arrangements to travel between the port and Lancaster Railway Station and retain a receipt for any cost incurred, which should then be sent to Customer Services, FREEPOST, Northern Rail for reimbursement.
’Further information about the impact of Saturday’s industrial action on Northern Rail services can be found at www.northernrailway.co.uk/industrial-action.’
Saturday is the first day of the Easter holidays for children in the Isle of Man.
