The government’s Passport, Immigration and Nationality office has closed its doors due to the coronavirus pandemic to ’ensure the welfare of customers and staff’.

Applications for its services will not be processed until the office re-opens but can continue to be made.

Passports and travel documents currently being processed will not be available to collect or be returned until the office re-opens.

A government spokesman said: ’The Passport, Immigration and Nationality office will continue to monitor the ever-changing position closely and adapt as government guidance evolves.’

Applications can be sent in the post or placed in the post box by the main entrance of Government Offices, in Bucks Road, Douglas.

The post box will be monitored infrequently andapplications and supporting documents are left at the customer’s own risk.
