A long running panto group in the island have announced the title of this year’s production, and are hoping that they will be able to hold its anniversary celebrations as intended.
The Peel Pantoloons are marking 30 years together this coming December, and the west-based theatrical troupe have announced that they are to perform their own particular take on the classic children’s tale Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
With all things being well, the group will start its audition process for cast members in July and hope to begin rehearsals in September.
Peel Pantoloons organiser Mel Read said they are keeping an eye on developments, but still plan to produce a pantomime at the end of the year.
’Hopefully we’ll begin looking for our cast in July. Obviously things might change,’ said Mel.
’We are playing everything by ear at the moment but remain very hopeful.’
More details are available from the Peel Pantoloons Facebook page.
