Finch Hill Bowling Club and Douglas Lawn Tennis Club, both based in the Finch Hill Sports Park, Kensington Road, held an open day on Sunday.

People came and tried the various sports available.

The organisers said some people did not realise the site and its facilities were there even though it is in the heart of Douglas.

Historian Peter Kelly also gave a talk on the long history of the site.

The main sports available included crown green bowling, tennis, and snooker.
