Specially minted commemorative coins will mark the centenary of the end of the First World War.
Every person in full time education in the island will be presented with a 50 pence coin marking 100 years since Armistice Day in 1918.
The coin shows an image of the First World War soldier from the Douglas war memorial and the edge of the coin is decorated with red poppies.
Cupro-Nickel versions of these coins, without the red poppies, will be placed into general circulation. Two £50 commemorative coins, made from silver and decorated with gold-plated poppies, will also be minted.
