Volunteers behind the ambitious plan to restore Queen’s Pier are celebrating a festive windfall - which will enable major steel replacement work to begin.
The Queen’s Pier Restoration Trust has received a £10,000 donation from the Eric and Marion Scott Trust.
Trust chairman Tom Durrant said: ’We appreciate this timely gift which will allow us to commence steel replacement for bay 1 in March 2018, weather permitting.’
