Plans for two six-storey blocks of flats in Ramsey have been approved.
It comes after Seymar Developments Limited entered into a legal agreement to secure commuted sum payments for affordable housing provision and shortfall of open space.
The bid (17/00870/B), submitted in August 2017, was for two buildings, six storeys each, with a total of 23 flats on land off Premier Road and Mooragh Promenade. They will be a mixture of two- three- and four-bedroom apartments with combined kitchens and living/dining areas, a utility room and at least one en-suite bathroom.
Approval
The ground floor apartments will include a patio while those on higher floors will have balconies.
Planning approval was granted with a number of conditions.
Work cannot start until full details of the landscaping works have been approved in writing by the department.
The material and finishes, for the external surfaces including the roof also needs approval in writing from the department.
And a botanical study identifying areas of interest and a plan for their protection or translocation needs to be submitted and approved.
In addition, the site cannot be occupied or operated until the parking and turning areas have been provided.
