Ramsey licensees who persistently fail to clear up litter, including broken glass and cigarette ends, outside their premises are being given a chance to toe the line.
The clerk to the Licensing Court has asked Ramsey Commissioners to submit complaints in respect of any premises that have caused difficulty or concerns such as excessive litter or noise during the past three years.
The commissioners are aware of recurring offenders, but rather than pinpointing individuals they will submit a general comment to the courts in the hope that the licensees concerned will take note.
