A planning application has been submitted (21/01236/B) to convert offices on Parliament Street in Ramsey into residential accommodation.

A vacant office is currently located to the rear of 29 Parliament Street, and faces onto the adjacent Tower Street.

The flat-roofed building is clad with PVC planks, and it is raised above a parking area which would be retained.

Plans are to redevelop the interior into a two-bedroom dwelling with a lounge, kitchen, dining area and utility room.

The only significant change to the exterior of the building would be the addition of a garden terrace. The empty office has been on the market to rent since May.

The owner, Northville Estates Limited, said it wished to avoid ’severe impact on cashflow’ from the property going unused.
