Police are investigating the fly-tipping of 30 bags of mineral wool insulation at a southern beauty spot.

The bags were dumped at Meayll Hill.

In a police appeal posted on Facebook today (Wednesday) they said: ’Words fail when somebody decides to tip 30 bags of used mineral wool insulation at a beauty spot like Meayll Hill.

’If you saw anybody heading up the Howe or Balnahowe Road with it on a pick-up or a large van heading up to the Meayll Hill car park, please contact PC Stephen Gorry.’
