Two Douglas community police officers will be getting their mutton chops and locks cut in aid of a cancer charity.

Paddy Moore pledged to have his mutton chops shaved and Michael Griffiths promised to get his head shaved if they managed to raise £2,000 towards a CT scanner appeal.

The amount was fully raised yesterday (Monday) after a £505 donation from a member of RS Promotions. A date for the event is to be set.

The pair are doing it in support of Mannin Cancers, which is linked to the Manx Breast Cancer Support Group.
