Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road collision on the Mountain Road in which a visiting motorcyclist died.
The crash happened at about 6.30pm yesterday (Thursday) in the area of the Brandywell junction.
It involved a blue Vauxhall Zafira and a black Honda Fireblade motorcycle.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 54-year-old man from the UK sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the occupants of the car were all taken to hospital for treatment but have all since been released.
Constable Hoy from the Roads Policing Unit, who is investigating the the incident, has appealed for witnesses.
