Three former police stations have raised nearly £700,000 from sales, A freedom of information request by the Manx Independent has revealed.

The Department of Home Affairs explained that the former Onchan police station, in Elm Drive, sold for £225,000, Port St Mary police house, in Bay View Road, sold for £230,000 and Andreas police house, in Andreas Road, for £235,000.

In total, the three sales raised £690,000.

All of the properties were no longer police stations at the time of the sale.

We had asked how many former police stations on the island had been sold in the past five years and what the total price each station sold for was.

Isle of Man Newspapers has appealed the response, as what appears to be a fourth item on the list of police station sales has been blacked out.
