Detective Constable Michael Crompton completed the London Marathon for a second time.
He ran in memory of his constabulary colleague, Sergeant Andy Pailor, who died from cancer in 2015.
Michael raised a grand total of £2,337.75 for Sailing for the Disabled Isle of Man.
Explaining his choice of charity, Michael said: ’Andy has two children Francesca and Ben.
’Ben has autism and Sailing for the Disabled Isle of Man has taken him out with Andy.
’This was a great experience for them and the work that SFTD do is first-class.’
The money was raised through bingo, raffles, bake sales and donations.
Michael said: ’The marathon was tougher on me this year as I wanted to go under four hours and the heat makes a fat lad sweat!’
’I managed four hours five minutes with a bit of cramp at 20 miles so I’m delighted with that.’
