A call for evidence has been made by a Tynwald committee investigating the effectiveness of the government’s whistleblowing policy.
Committee chairman Julie Edge MHK said: ’The committee has been tasked with reviewing the effectiveness of the government’s whistleblowing policy and to consider this fully we plan to compare and contrast with other public and private sector policies.’
She added: ’We are not able to become involved in any way with specific cases but we do want to understand how the processes are working for the people involved; those raising issues and those involved with investigations.
’We are also interested in hearing from people who may have considered, but not proceeded with, raising an issue.’
The deadline for submissions is June 20. They will only be published if express permission is given so contact details must be included.
